The quarry shut the side door of the Basilica

Works. Have lasted six months. Similarity. The new access is identical to the previously built in the garden of the Carmelite Convent of the Mothers.

The beds were completed on Friday one of the most laborious and detailed in further work in the Basilica TA: construction of what will be by far the main gateway to the temple Teresa.

For six months, stonemasons worked Villamayor stone of the street next door Fallen for the Fatherland, working the stone decoration so that the result was accurate to one of the doors made prior next to the garden of the Carmelite Convent of the Mothers. This would have made the same forms in both arches and columns and capitals.

After completion, the carpenters have placed a wooden door large and another to the opposite wing of the temple. Finally, on top of the temple, pyramid shapes try to avoid the proliferation of nests of storks.

Thus, the presbytery is nearly completed, waiting to choose a suitable soil, as the toilets had been completed. Ideally, these outstanding works were the link with the expected start of the second phase, which will continue to cover the roof of the transept and the rest of the ship length. Now that there is a covered and yet another cover, draws attention to cleaning dirt presbytery the part that is open, and that presents a lot of excrement to be collected periodically.

Today was scheduled to install the copper roof of the aisles

The same company that made the work on the roof of the apse and presbytery held on Monday placement copper plate on the roof and be completely remedied the problem of water seepage in the chapels.

The Basilica of Santa Teresa have two twin doors, one was placed on the transition from the temple to the garden of the Carmelite convent of the Mother and the second is the general public access to the site. The carpenters, who began work yesterday in the temple, are expected to perform the installation over the week.

Thanks again to Alfonso González for pictures and the explanation made on his blog.

As the sanctuary, its complete set-up will be completed after installation of wooden doors external accesses in this space, one on the side of the garden of the Carmelite Convent of the Mothers, and one to the Fallen for the Fatherland Street. Will also need a floor for the floor and lighting. As for the toilets, have already been completed. Photographs of Ricardo Melgar presented different perspectives of the town and castle, the river Tormes and the convent of Annunciation

Google has included some of these images in your geographic program Google Earth, via the web Panoramio

Internet and particularly Google never ceases to amaze. After inclusion of the village in the new program "Street View" images Ricardo Melgar air have been accepted to illustrate the Google Earth program, one of the most prestigious Geographic Information System, which lets you fly anywhere on Earth, and view satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings. Of all the places in the world, the ducal villa also has a reserved space.

The most striking images are those of the Castle of the Dukes of Alba, and more particularly, the Basilica, which show for the first time since the sky the progress of construction of the temple. Thus they can be seen, the work performed in June 2008, when passing from the chapel choir at the bedside, where the walls were raised. At first glance, one of the most noteworthy points are the four arches that form the basis for the cruise, made of brick and concrete.
can be seen in the photographs covers the head and the presbytery, consisting of copper plates. One can also observe perfectly the regrowth of existing factories to reach a level at which it left space for the windows. The placement of the pieces of wood in the area of the sanctuary was a tricky task as the approximate weight of each one of them was in excess of 900 kilos and their placement was carried out to twenty feet high.

News: Works on the roofs of the side chapels.

(Thanks again to Roberto Jimenez the hard work and the interest shown by the works of the Basilica and the beautiful images that always offers from places inaccessible to most.)

Improvement. Operatives work 18 meters high and the new roof will prevent moisture and leaks affect the chapels of the temple.

Stained
. Four have been restored and placed on the chapels of San José, La Purisima, Maria Auxiliadora and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Although the works would involve the construction of the crossing and continuing the project to complete the works of the basilica was halted a year ago, there are other minor works inside the temple to continue forward. The same company that made the work on the roof of the apse and presbytery yesterday put the new wood pieces recently received in what will be a new roof side, above the chapels, about 18 meters high. It's a real privilege operators see how they work, that the pieces fit together like a puzzle in question. From where can be seen a beautiful panorama of the banks of the Tormes and equal in height with the bell tower of the church of San Juan.
albadetormesaldia.es has had the opportunity to witness the moment to display an unknown corner for readers. So, what was once an area for use as a terrace, now converted into a roof drain water outside the temple. The poor state that this space had allowed water to seep into the chapels, which shall be cured with this work.

Four windows restored and placed in their original location

also continue the work of the masons in stone of Villamayor in the door and the restoration of the windows of the temple.

In this first phase, four windows have been restored chapels belonging to San José, La Purisima, Maria Auxiliadora and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. All are now fully restored and placed in their respective chapels, which still show the damage caused by leaks and humidity experienced during the past years. Were removed from the original by the stained glass facing Omar Pablo Ruiz and were damaged by physical shock or by the action of the weather, because nothing protected them. From now on, the new facility has a protective glass that will protect the windows of both factors. Finally, the circular window with a diameter of 1.5 meters donated by the company responsible for its restoration, which represents the figure of God as Your Majesty has already been placed in one eye of the presbytery. In the coming months will begin the restoration of the windows present in the other chapels.

Paper Towel Absorbency Experiment

Student ticket remains absent

addition to the conflict budget of universities, students are going through another situation that is perhaps more striking than we think: The lack of ticket sales Custom Direct, for about a year they have stopped selling the tickets on a regular basis, the university now have to pay up and do not have to get to their classes and many taxis are charged back to their homes because in the case of light, the transport is in bad shape. So what happened to the promises the company Fontur him to the university sector on the smart card of passage. Thousands of students have daily needs for not having this service. I recently listened to a student who said he had to get on buses to sell candy to make the passage of the week. These drivers have complained that the national government to assess the possibility of increasing the price of each ticket, but so far the situation becomes increasingly critical and students to stop going to school for not having this passage in sales centers. In this should walk the student leaders of universities. Could it be that interested them and fight for the student demands as they did 40 years ago?

Criminal proceedings against

The decision of the Minister of Higher Education, Edgar Ramirez, request the opening of criminal proceedings against the university authorities is considered by the same managers of houses of study as an "affront to the University" , but did not entitled the State to review the situation in the institutions that assign budgets billionaires each year?. Many critics of these policies, but the big question is how serious are announcements of the minister?, For a while been announcing these measures, and so far there has been no change in institutions. Venezuelan public universities seems that cries out for a profound change that makes them come alive. The protests of the last days of the workers, employees, teachers and students have been to demand that the national government budget and Ramirez's response was clear, not give more resources to what it considers fair, or at least until it becomes clear are directed where the items are allocated. The university workers should come out to fight, not more money, but because management clarification that what has been sent. What can you tell us companions of the "U", what would be the way the ministry is addressing this procedure without disturbing the academic year?

universities Uncertainty over fate of

The crisis at the University of Zulia feels stronger than ever. Students come and go as devoid of what is happening around them, without imagining the size of the tragedy that is living. And even said that are no more resources to sustain the high of over 60 thousand students, the salary of workers, employees, teachers and retirees stopped canceled the past fortnight, which was not the case in light time. The rector Jorge Palencia announced in various media that the university had run out of resources because the national government had sent only 40% of the total requested resources at this point, as Palencia, have been exhausted. Now coming to this university?, "Additional credits or any evaluation commission of the Ministry of Higher Education to put him magnifying glass to resource management?, Because according to the Minister Edgardo Ramirez yes money was sent, only that the administration has not acted solvent and hence the reason why the budget is not enough. What do you think, will it be true that the university has not made a fair distribution of the game that the Government has allocated?, As in a publication that did PANORAMA over a year ago revealed that the University of Zulia received a budget three times higher than the mayor of Maracaibo, according to figures of the national government ... so why not reach nearly 900 million Bolivars receiving this university? Someone realizes what is actually happening.

NEWS: Restoration of the windows of the Basilica

Source: Www.albadetormesaldia.es

In the first phase have been renovated four pieces that are fitted with double glazing. Interior. It works of stone and begin the refurbishment of the roof of the chapel.

Although the works would involve the construction of the crossing and continuing the project to complete the works of the basilica was halted a year ago, are the inner workings of the beds of Villamayor and the first phase restoration of the windows of the temple, whose installation work began yesterday in the chapel of the Sacred Heart.

In this first phase, four windows have been restored belonging to the side street next to the Fallen for the Fatherland. The works are covered by the glassmaker Omar Pablo Ruiz, who explained to albadetormesaldia.es initially dismantled the original stained glass windows facing due to "an advanced state of deterioration that had both props like glass."

According
confirmed, the manager of installation and restoration, Omar Pablo, "the windows were cleaned with deionized water, removing debris pollution, the pieces have been glued Broken glass and used similar to the parts that were not. " Much of the windows were damaged by physical shock or by the action of the weather, because nothing protected them. From now on, the new facility has a protective glass that will protect the windows of both factors.

First, the double-glazing creates an air chamber that provides outside air ventilation to the windows and avoid suffering the humidity above to be directly in contact with the interior. In addition, it protects against possible release outside these works of art, that more than one occasion has been targeted of the Vandals. The new transparent glazing also allows the passage of light, so that the windows can look its best seen from inside.

The company donated a stained glass restorer

Restorers have tried to have a detail with the Diocese of Salamanca and the temple albense donating a circular window with a diameter of 1.5 meters representing the figure of God as Majesty to be located in one of the small windows of the Basilica. The installation of windows, in homage to Christian spirituality through women's contribution and foundations of the Holy, paralyzed with the works.

As for the installation of windows in the apse and the altar, nothing is known. Everything seems to depend on the financing for completion of works. Since it will resume construction of the temple and its subsequent suspension, the idea of the Diocese was to make the Basilica a tribute to women throughout history have emerged as summits of Christian spirituality. In 2008, Sánchez Vaquero explained that when completed, the Basilica of Santa Teresa is "a unique example in the world in recognition of the excellence of those women who, like Santa Teresa, have a decisive role in the spirituality of the Church. " For this, the Cowboy himself visited some of the world's most important temples devoted to the saints to carry out a selection that "offers a modern and unique idea to recognize and celebrate the influence of women." This excitement will take place through the colorful stained glass decoration. The project promoted by Sánchez Vaquero difference between two areas. Until the cruise, will be devoted to each foundation convent of Santa Teresa de Jesús: San Jose de las Madres, Medina, Valladolid, Toledo, Salamanca, Segovia, Palencia, Soria and Burgos. While the fifteen windows in the area of the altar will be ambulatory and for other women who have written in capital letters your name in history, chosen with an international standard and most ecumenical.
Among the saints who will be honored in Alba, is St. Scholastica, sister of the Italian saint San Benito. Italy is also represented through the figure of Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Church's second after their own Santa Teresa, and Santa Clara de Asis, co-founder of the Franciscan spirit of poverty. Santa Brigida, the most influential religious in Scandinavia, St. Hedwig, founder of the Faculty of Theology in Krakow in the XIV century, Juliana of Cornillon, driving Belgian holy procession Corpus Christi, St. Therese of Lisieux, Edith Stein, who died in the Nazi horrors of Auschwitz and Santa Rosa de Lima, the first Catholic saint on the other side of the Atlantic, will be another of the women present.

Dark Red Bridesmaid Dresses

LIGHT continues the "rattle" in the Principal Registry

about four months ago we published a report on the illegal charges that a group of unscrupulous people outside the Principal Registry, were doing to the university to locate a place at the entrance of the venue so we can register the title, because one day I passed guidelines Registry night, by chance, when I saw him in half an armed camp road. Amazing was about 11:00 at night and more than 80 people slept at the mercy of insecurity, in tents, folding chairs, in the troughs of the vans and cardboard boxes. How sad! "I thought. Some reported evidence on that occasion, that would not otherwise ever would wake the registered title, as in the officiate only gave 100 numbers during the day and sometimes more than 500 people came.

Then one group was comprised of about 10 women and one man wanted to take advantage of the desperation of these people. The strategy was as follows: Make the tail from a very early hour, 5:00 in the afternoon more or less, and when they arrived the "desperate" to record, they sold the quota up to 100 bolivars. Cicpc finally done intelligence work and captured a group of scammers. That was then. But Unfortunately, I again go through the registry these days and I saw that the situation remains the same. Again the tents and scammers as if nothing had happened. The rights of hundreds of people are injured every day on the outskirts of Principal Registry of Zulia State and nothing happens. There are people with disabilities, women with children in arms to senior citizens. What about the rule of law in this country? What's happening with the administration of the Registry can not guarantee decent care to these professionals?

Knowledge "or budget?

Higher Education Minister, Edgardo Ramirez announced in recent days "intervention" of four colleges Zulia, the UNERMB, Unesur, IUTC IUTM and also of the University of Santa Ines, Barinas. It is clear that the abrupt decision of the minister is due to a number of administrative irregularities were detected in these houses of study and practice is not new, but most of all, I think it is necessary to make a clarification on the concept of "Intervention" because the national government can not "speak" their own institutions, home, then. Until the Minister has made the clarification saying the term is misused, it is rather an internal audit process as a thorough investigation to clarify that is what is happening administratively, whether the authorities are making a fair distribution million dollar budgets allocated to them. It is also said that the autonomous universities enter into this package. Now, what no one has said so far, neither the minister and unless the unions and student leaders, is at what point will an academic review, when assessing the quality of education provided in these universities or the situation Pirates of the teachers. Do not you think that public universities have lost interest in knowledge?, Why intellectual life?. Some days ago a teacher told me that the university APUZ, in general, is not contributing to research and less to solve the country's problems, why they are born. Why nobody talks about that at this time and are only focused on pay and promotions?, What about the spiritual meaning of the academy? Is it faded?

Urbe rationing measures affecting students will be

Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacin (Urbe) was taken so seriously electricity rationing, now students can not even connect their laptop or mobile to charge a power outlet because it is seen as a "wasteful of energy." Despite having two power plants to meet the cut-off times, some complain that classes are full modules with the air off, the exhibitions are no longer doing with video beam and the guys they have had to return to the old tools : sheets of bond paper and chips .... Those who study the Masters at the weekend say they have taken an hour of school because at noon, without fail, they must turn off all air and it lessens their academic load. At night the corridors are dark. "As we would like these outages had just to get everything back to normal," he hears one of the students to leave class sweaty. Rather than create an awareness of rationing in the student appears that radical measures have finished Urbe harass their students. Could it be that they are going through the hand or you believe that these measures are well implemented?

pirates abound

University students have found an easy way to avoid long days and late-night research in the development of a thesis. What do you think? Now the technique is to pay a specialist in this work for them do everything from the name of the project to the binding. It is proven that the sides of the City abound these "business" and in conversations with the same students from various universities of the region that support they have paid confidently, "we learn that charge up to 6 000 Bolivars per job grade. But the big question is: What are the authorities doing the universities of the region to detect and punish these cases, how many more will be thesis smuggled?, As we find instances of people claiming to have passed the stage more difficult: Presentation and defense of .... "I took 19 and did not do anything," he said proudly one of the kids now just waiting for his title. But what many do not know, for the same position that compliance with the laws, is that these people can be brought to prosecution and go to jail. "The penalty for playing another person's work without permission goes from 1 to 4 years in prison, and if in addition to that, the person usurps authorship, ie, attributed the work as their own, the penalty and would be 2 to 6 years "said the lawyer and expert in the field, Ricardo Antequera Parilli, author of several books on copyright. And now, college graduates will continue with impunity in this country? Will something the Ministry of Higher Education?.

They can not carry laptop, HP calculators and less cellular valuable or flashy clothes because at risk of being docked in a hallway or sidewalk. The bad spelling invades Facebook

Who has not read a misspelled word in twitter, messenger, and especially in the Facebook? Nobody. All we found a number of people who have dedicated themselves to distort the language and one wonders what will that do it on purpose and with full knowledge? Well, sometimes it seems that they do well aware. First there were text messages, got used to typing without looking at the phone and now I can not remember the origin of words and that, therefore, almost no one jumps out of astonishment because they start to see normally. In the Blackberry chat also write any number of errors and even have the custom to abbreviate everything, for example, substitute the K Q, do not write "for" but X, finally, I consulted some college students and say they are more comfortable or just "We are already used to."
So bad spelling has become "chic" in the world of universities. Does it cost so much to learn to write well? The young people have not noticed the delay in the academic life that represents n these ways to take shortcuts to write less and it certainly should alarm over a serious linguist. A few days ago I got with some guys who have Mexican Facebook a campaign to fight the misspelled words, this surprised me, the page is called "I hate bad spelling, there are all sorts of criticism and commentary on the words that other deformed by the same reasons. At least these groups are beginning to speak out. His message of the wall reads: "We are against the constant misspelling of Facebook, MSN and any place, so this page is dedicated to people who use the English way of good writing." Friends of the "U", how about if we start a campaign like these guys from Mexico to promote better spelling? Take heart!

Scps tactics j

More stoppages, more delay for universities

cripple They become universities country, while the Academy never recovered. The 12th and 13th May there will be a strike called by the Federation of Associations of University Professors of Venezuela (Fapuv) to continue the struggle of labor demands and require the Ministry of Higher Education to catch up with the certification standards But the other side of the coin, and maybe the least been considered, sector is the student, who has vigorously opposed these measures of protest. In the case of the University of Zulia, this year have already lost two months of school and has even been a rumor that not only lost the summer courses scheduled for next August, but will make only a semester and that involves staying one more semester in college when most of you have everything ready for his act of grade. On several occasions, the new president of APUZ, Karelis Fernandez said he did not agree with the strikes and to think of other means of pressure, but equally have adhered to the four strikes that have occurred this year. How ingrained is the link between teachers' strikes and promoting the true meaning of the academy? Well it seems that students are the ones bearing the brunt.

Do we want a socialist curriculum?

Just a week gave the Minister of Higher Education, Edgar Ramirez, that the country's universities to submit a proposal and start from socialist curriculum and to incorporate changes to different program content of all country races. With this news, Minister Ramirez has been thinking more of a university and many even seem confused about the idea because we still not clear that this is such a curriculum.
In visit to Maracaibo, on Friday 23, Ramirez explained what should be the starting point for the transformation of the curriculum: "must have the essential matrix Bolivar imperialist thinking (...), the thought of patriotism." As a college student a few days ago I said in one of the corridors of light if this socialist curriculum has to do with the formation of militias university and if all would be forced to integrate. In universities in the region little is talking about it. Will the universities as advanced with the development of this curriculum? Or is it as the subject of LOE that after the adoption lowered the volume of the controversy?
