Heather Brooke's Friend Name
Who has not read a misspelled word in twitter, messenger, and especially in the Facebook? Nobody. All we found a number of people who have dedicated themselves to distort the language and one wonders what will that do it on purpose and with full knowledge? Well, sometimes it seems that they do well aware. First there were text messages, got used to typing without looking at the phone and now I can not remember the origin of words and that, therefore, almost no one jumps out of astonishment because they start to see normally. In the Blackberry chat also write any number of errors and even have the custom to abbreviate everything, for example, substitute the K Q, do not write "for" but X, finally, I consulted some college students and say they are more comfortable or just "We are already used to."
So bad spelling has become "chic" in the world of universities. Does it cost so much to learn to write well? The young people have not noticed the delay in the academic life that represents n these ways to take shortcuts to write less and it certainly should alarm over a serious linguist. A few days ago I got with some guys who have Mexican Facebook a campaign to fight the misspelled words, this surprised me, the page is called "I hate bad spelling, there are all sorts of criticism and commentary on the words that other deformed by the same reasons. At least these groups are beginning to speak out. His message of the wall reads: "We are against the constant misspelling of Facebook, MSN and any place, so this page is dedicated to people who use the English way of good writing." Friends of the "U", how about if we start a campaign like these guys from Mexico to promote better spelling? Take heart!
