The pinnacle of what has been done so far extended the construction of the Basilica
As reported by Alfonso González are being shot works in the Basilica of Santa Teresa:
- is currently closing down five vertical arch giving access from the chancel and the transept apse and the transept. This closure will metal frame about five feet of brick wall at its base and windows that will culminate with the presbytery brighter. There will be access doors shall cover the rest of the church in one of the arches near the usual entrance.
- is proceeding to tiled baths, knights and ladies on the same site located above (to the left of the entrance) but radically improved. The sacristy, just entrefrente, with the same dimensions as the space occupied by toilets, running water will drain.
- At the moment they are placing the metal frames for windows and Gothic Revival oculos lobed. When you finally disappear windows pigeons and have a lot more light. Up to now have been clogging networks with wood and to prevent access by pigeons.
- Although not yet started, is expected to soon start work to complete the access door is still missing. This one will have the same design as the other three of the 4 that has the temple.
- The existing windows of the chapels so beautifully decorated and will be restored and will increase its security against vandalism.
- At the beginning of the works, one of the first interventions was to clean the roofs of the chapels and aisles. All stormwater pipes were quite thick and tens of kilos of pigeon droppings, and storks living in the unfinished temple. This had led to the emergence of multiple leaks in the interior of the chapels with the consequent deterioration of religious furniture, the blocks of stone and stained glass.
- certainly before they leave the workers to carry out a general cleaning all, something that would allow both tourists and locals to see the work accomplished and what still needs to be filled.
